Stella Sora vs Blue Archive

Stella Sora is not Blue Archive with a new coat of paint. The publishers, dates and combat are different.

From the desk. Publisher credits are more useful than visual resemblance here. Blue Archive’s Global store listing credits Nexon and describes an RPG/strategy game; an Apple record date is not treated as its verified global launch date. Stella Sora’s stores list Yostar, released 19 October 2025, and the official site calls it a top-down light-action RPG. Yostar does publish Blue Archive in Japan. That is not the same as building both games.

What actually differs

Blue Archive is a school-city tactics game. Stella Sora fields three Trekkers on a Monolith and uses bullet-pattern combat, which is how Game8 described the fights. Both have character recruitment, but that shared monetization feature does not make their combat interchangeable. This page does not establish which has a lighter daily grind or lower spending requirement.

More alternatives are on games like Stella Sora.

Questions people ask

Is Stella Sora just Blue Archive?

No. Different global publisher, different release year, and different combat. Anime character art is the overlap.

Does Yostar make both?

Yostar publishes Stella Sora and publishes Blue Archive in Japan. Global Blue Archive is credited to Nexon Korea.
