Privacy Policy

This policy describes the third-party services used by this build, our own browser storage and how to stop default analytics, recording and advertising. Provider cookies and downstream ad hosts can change.

From the desk. I wrote this from the tags in the HTML, not from a template. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra are on by default; Reject turns all three off and the choice is remembered for 180 days. If a tag changes, this page changes in the same commit.

Who we are

The site is stellasora.pro, an independent Stella Sora guide. Privacy mail is [email protected]. We do not run a user account system and we do not sell personal data.

Default loading and your choice

Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load when the page loads, before you touch the banner. That is the default for a first visit: no stored choice is treated as granted. The banner is there to tell you and to let you withdraw.

Reject saves a refusal for 180 days and reloads the document without loading those services, stopping their running SDKs. Requests already sent before rejection cannot be recalled. Accept keeps them on and records that too. A browser Global Privacy Control signal, or Do Not Track, is treated as Reject. “Cookie settings” in the footer reopens the banner at any time, and the next choice replaces the old one.

The default-on behavior is an opt-out design, not a claim that an untouched banner is explicit consent. Consent Mode signals do not by themselves prevent third-party requests. Our three Google advertising signals default to denied, analytics storage defaults to granted, and ads_data_redaction is enabled before configuration. The banner then applies the current choice. Reject blocks the services on the reloaded page.

Google Analytics 4

Measurement ID G-QYQYLLSB78. The tag script is served from www.googletagmanager.com and sends events to https://www.google-analytics.com and https://region1.google-analytics.com. It records page views, scroll and outbound clicks, and coarse device, browser and country information. We do not send names, emails or account ids.

Google Analytics may use _ga and property-specific _ga_* cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. We do not claim a verified property retention setting or a fixed expiry for every provider cookie. See Google privacy policy for its data handling.

You can refuse analytics with Reject, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or block the request in your browser. The banner updates Google advertising consent signals; the initial advertising signals are denied. Google account ad settings are separate from this site.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity project z20cyx0745. The loader creates https://www.clarity.ms/tag/z20cyx0745, which pulls the SDK from https://scripts.clarity.ms and sends session data to https://*.clarity.ms/collect. Clarity produces heatmaps and session replays: clicks, scroll depth, taps and page rendering. We do not ask for account credentials or personal information in our tools. Do not enter sensitive data into third-party ads.

Clarity may use _clck, _clsk and Microsoft-domain identifiers to connect page views and sessions. Its loader can contact www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms, collection subdomains of clarity.ms and c.bing.com. This build does not verify a fixed recording-retention setting. See Microsoft privacy statement.

Reject stops the Clarity script and its collect requests. You can also use the Microsoft privacy dashboard at https://account.microsoft.com/privacy to review or delete activity Microsoft holds about you.

Adsterra advertising

We monetise the site with Adsterra, publisher id 3403020, website id 6143481. Two units are in the build: NativeBanner_1 (unit 31875043), an in-page native block, and SocialBar_1 (unit 31875044), the fixed bar at the bottom of the viewport. Both scripts come from https://bicea.org and are created by our loader after the page is interactive; neither is a blocking tag in the document.

Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to cap frequency, measure clicks and, where you have consented, personalise ads. Cookie names, lifetimes and downstream hosts are controlled by the network and its demand partners; we do not invent a fixed cookie name or retention period. Scripts are requested from bicea.org; additional delivery endpoints may vary by location and inventory. Adult ads are switched off for this website in the Adsterra panel. The ad code loads by default, like the analytics tags, and Reject removes it.

Adsterra’s data handling is described in its privacy policy. Network opt-out tools are separate from our Reject control, which blocks loading the advertising scripts after reload. We do not guarantee participation by every demand partner in a particular industry opt-out program.

YouTube

Trailers show a local poster image. Pressing play is what creates the iframe at https://www.youtube.com/embed/, so YouTube is not contacted on first paint. From that click YouTube may set its own cookies (for example VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC and PREF) and receives your IP address and the video you watched.

Pressing play deliberately contacts YouTube; review Google privacy policy before doing so. Rejecting the banner does not remove the play button; it only removes the analytics and advertising scripts.

Storage on your browser

Key ss.consent in localStorage holds granted or denied plus an expiry 180 days out. It is how Reject stays off across visits and is never sent to our server. Key ss.socialbar.closed remembers that you closed the Adsterra Social Bar, also for 180 days. Key ss.tier holds your personal tier board from the tier list maker until you clear site data.

We set no first-party cookie for these. External services that may set cookies include: Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Adsterra and, after you press play, YouTube.

Rights and changes

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of any message you sent us, by emailing [email protected]. We keep mail as long as the thread needs, then delete it. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

This policy changes by editing this page and its date. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner, and Reject or Accept replaces the stored choice.

Questions people ask

Do you sell personal data?

No. There is no account database and no data broker deal. External advertising and analytics services handle request data under their own policies.

How do I change the consent choice?

Use Cookie settings in the footer, then Accept or Reject. The new value replaces ss.consent for 180 days.

Which third parties load immediately?

Google Analytics 4 (G-QYQYLLSB78), Microsoft Clarity (z20cyx0745) and Adsterra (publisher 3403020). YouTube loads only after you press play.

How do I turn off personalised ads?

Use https://optout.aboutads.info, https://www.youronlinechoices.com or https://optout.networkadvertising.org, and Reject on this site to remove the Adsterra script entirely.
