Stella Sora has two launch dates that are both true. Global mobile and the Windows launcher opened in October 2025. Steam opened in October 2026.
From the desk. I had to put the Games Press wire and the Steam API side by side. The wire says global launch 19 October 2025 at 19:00 UTC-7, which is 20 October 2025 at 11:00 JST and 10:00 UTC+8. Steam’s release_date field says 19 October 2026. The anniversary post uses 19 October 2026 (UTC-7) as well. None of those sentences cancel the others.
Timeline
19 October 2025, 19:00 UTC-7: global launch. 19 October 2026: Steam for Windows, and the date the publisher uses for the first anniversary. 19 October 2026, 20:00 UTC-7 to 20 October 2026, 02:00 UTC-7: version 2.0 maintenance, about six hours, with the new version after the window. The news posts themselves are dated 19 and 20 October 2026.
Future patch dates are not published. I will not turn a leak into a schedule. Daily reset, which is not a launch date, is 13:00 UTC-7.
What the Steam date is not
Steam day is not the day the game was born, and version 2.0 is not a Steam exclusive. Mobile and the official launcher received the same update. Install steps are on download. Maintenance habits are on maintenance.
